From the Special Student
Article 54 – Special students are those enrolled only in isolated disciplines, without any connection to any Graduate Program at USP.
§ 1 – Special students will be entitled to a certificate of approval in disciplines, issued by the CPG.
§ 2 – The acceptance of the special student must be approved by the CCP, after consulting the responsible professor for the discipline.
Article 55 – Under the discretion of the CCP, undergraduate students from USP may be admitted to enroll in Graduate disciplines as special students.
The Criteria for Registration and Selection of Special Students in Graduate Disciplines, as well as the list of Available Disciplines, are disclosed in December and June of each year on this same page.
The discipline PCA5046 – Emerging Topics in Environmental Science this year will be taught by visiting professor Isabelle Anguelovski (ICREA Research Professor, Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona, Institute for Environmental Science and Technology (ICTA) and will address the issue of Climate Justice in the context of Urban Development and Green City Planning.
The discipline will be offered on July 3rd and 4th, 2023, from 9 am to 12 pm and from 2 pm to 6 pm.

Send a copy of the Lattes CV and a justification letter to the email: alunoespecial@iee.usp.br between June 21 and 26, 2023.
The analysis of the Lattes CV and Justification will be carried out by the responsible professor.
On June 27, 2023, the list of selected candidates according to the number of available vacancies will be published.
ENROLLMENT: The documentation and the receipt issued by the IEE treasury must be sent to the email: alunoespecial@iee.usp.br, until June 29, 2023, at 4 pm.
ENROLLMENT FEE: Value: R$ 150.00 (one hundred fifty reais).
The deposit must be identified with the candidate’s CPF, in the checking account 130411-9, agency 7009-2, Banco do Brasil, in the name of Instituto de Energia e Ambiente.
If the deposit is made by DOC, the CNPJ is 63.025.530/0042-82.
The receipt must be sent to the IEE Treasury through the email tesouraria@iee.usp.br, indicating your name, PCA5046 discipline code, and name of the Graduate Program (PROCAM).
The Treasury will issue the receipt for the payment of the fee, which must be presented at the time of enrollment;
DOCUMENTATION FOR ENROLLMENT
- (RG) front and back (For Brazilian candidates); CNH is NOT ACCEPTED
- Copy of the front and back of the undergraduate diploma duly registered; or certificate with the grant of the degree obtained in an officially recognized Undergraduate course, which must be prior to the date of enrollment in the Graduate Program. A diploma obtained in a short degree program will not be accepted;
- Complete school history of the undergraduate course;
- Temporary or permanent visa authorizing the foreign candidate to study in Brazil;
- Voter registration;
- Proof of voting in the last election, or proof of justification for not voting, or certificate of electoral compliance, issued by the electoral court or online at the address www.tse.jus.br/eleitor/certidoes/certidao-de-quitacao-eleitoral (for Brazilian candidate);
- Copy of the document of compliance with the Military Service (for Brazilian male candidates);
- Proof of residence;
- Registration certificate in an Undergraduate Course (For students from USP, UNICAMP, and UNESP);
- Proof of Functional Bond (For Technical Administrative Servers of USP);
- Exemption from the Director of the Unit to participate in the Discipline on the days and times when they will be taught (For Technical Administrative Servers of USP);
- Vaccination Passport against COVID-19 issued by health agencies (complete vaccination schedule, both doses, and at least one booster dose).
Failure to present all documentation will result in the cancellation of the candidate’s selection.
The enrollment fee will only be refunded if the discipline cannot be offered, by decision of the professor or the Program or, if its schedule is changed, and the selected candidate can no longer participate at the new offered time.
The documentation for enrollment, as stated in the announcement, must be sent to the email alunoespecial@iee.usp.br. It is not necessary to come to IEE to complete the enrollment.
